Introducing Lee Skinner, New to Vanity Avenue in Broadview Heights

I got the opportunity to chat with Lee Skinner, who is leaving her current position at Rometrics 1 to start offering her own services out of Vanity Avenue in Broadview Heights. She is offering a lot of things that brides can take advantage of (and they’d be great to take advantage of on a regular basis, too!).

Q. First of all, congrats on your new place! Let’s talk about Rometrics 1 – how long were you there and what did you do there?
A. I started at Rometrics 1 in October of 2003. I was there for a little over 7 years! I was trained on all Aveda products and I offered many services such as facials, peels, body waxing, eyelash extensions, ear candling, back treatments, body treatments, make up application, and spray tanning.Q. Why did you get into this line of work? What type of training and other work experience have you had?
A. I have always been fascinated by the skin, maybe even a little obsessed. I was constantly trying new products and always giving myself mini spa treatments. I wanted to use the best stuff out there so my skin wouldn’t age and could stay healthy and glowing. I graduated from Grace Cosmotology School in 2002 and after that I went to Columbus to take my state board exam. I attended several different Aveda classes and was a skin care coach at Rometrics. In 2005 I took a eyelash extension class and was certified shortly after. In 2009 I was trained and cerfified in the spray tanning.Q. What types of things from your position at Rometrics do you want to carry over into your new place?
A. The passion I have for skin care, a never ending aspiration to learn more and more and keep up with what’s new out there in the skin care industry. I also would like to continue using the aroma therapy scents to customize my facials.Q. Describe for us your new location.
A. The new location is very earthy and peaceful. The staff seems like a great group. Everyone has been so friendly to me. I feel as though they have welcomed me with open arms! The salon is always very busy, which speaks volumes about the stylists.Q. What types of services do you provide?
A. I provide facials, peels, eyelash extensions, waxing, back treatments, spray tanning, and ear candling.
