Love These Flowers!
September 24, 2010
I’m a huge fan of using silk flowers for weddings – we did for ours and I love that I still have everything years later.

These button bouquet arrangements for Emily & Ryan’s wedding from Really Bad Kitty (RBK) Creations are unbelievably cute! Check out pictures from the entire wedding at Glamour and Grace’s blog.

Amazing Cake!
September 19, 2010
Catherine from Sublime Bakery in Forth Worth, Texas made an amazing groom’s cake this past week. I always love looking at their work (I follow them on their Facebook page), but this masterpiece truly takes the cake (giggle to myself…).
.
The cake is made with red velvet cake, and those amazing antlers are sculpted out of white chocolate. I couldn’t bring myself to eat this thing!

And a seriously cute picture of her kissing it goodbye – love it!!

Congratulations to Michelle & Eric!
September 4, 2010
Congratulations to Michelle & Eric, who got married today! I just got back from setting up their table numbers and name cards, and the reception hall looked gorgeous!
.
I’ll have updated pictures up soon of the reception pieces for their wedding…but until then, check out the pieces I designed for them.
Happy Anniversary
September 3, 2010
One year ago today, I launched my site and presented my new business to the world. It has been an amazingly eventful year, and I’ve had more success than I thought I would.
.
Growing up I used to make cards for people for birthdays and other events, and on the back I’d sign it “Crystal’s Card Creations” with one large C, and the words stacked. I pushed that to the back of my mind as I grew up and got more into web design. When I got married in 2006, I created my own invitations and print pieces to save money, but also because I wanted to personalize our wedding and not just get a generic, cookie cutter design. In 2008 I was approached by a high school friend who asked me to do her wedding invitations, and I had an amazing time putting everything together. I played with the idea of creating a branch off of my graphic design company exclusively devoted to cards, and last summer I decided to just do it and see what happened.
.
In October my awesome husband nominated for the Cleveland Fox 8 Hot List, which I didn’t think would go anywhere, but I ranked in the Top 5 wedding invitation companies in Cleveland!
.
This past year was filled with more business than I ever thought I’d have, and I owe it all to my first few clients and their word-of-mouth advertising. I look forward to starting 2011, during which I’ll be expanding to favors and table centerpieces and debuting my designs. It’s been an amazing year and I know 2011 will only be better!
