Pampered Chef Party Meal…check!
January 22, 2011
Tonight I was doing some of my Pampered Chef consultant training, which made me hungry so during dinner I started playing with all my new PC products. Using my own recipe I was able to make our dinner using 7 products, all of which made my life easier and process faster. If that’s not a selling point, I don’t know what is!
.
I now have my cooking party meal decided upon, and I’ll start working on my dessert next week. I’m going to test out some of the recipes that came with my consultant kit, they look fabulous. The husband is super excited for it.
.
Also, I remembered when I moved into our house (which was purchased from my dad – it used to be one of his rental houses) that there was a bunch of PC stuff here when I moved in. Apparently the woman who lived here before me, who my dad evicted, had ordered a bunch of stuff that showed up about a month after she moved out. Like most people who are evicted, they disappear – so my dad put everything in the basement for me. I was a newlywed at that point, so it was like part two of wedding presents, lol. I brought everything up today and I definitely have about $200 of merchandise to add to my consultant kit! Unbelievable!
.
I’m so excited for my cooking parties!

2011 is going to be a fabulous year
December 31, 2010
I had the most amazing first year in business.
.
At the end of 2009 I created this company, not sure what what happen with it. I did my own wedding invitations in 2006, and in 2008 I did another set for a high school friend. At that point I realized how much I really enjoyed it and figured I’d give it a shot – the worst thing I could do was not get much work and move on. My genius of a husband nominated me for the Cleveland FOX 8 Hot List and I picked up three clients almost right away. That list and word-of-mouth has brought me more work than I ever expected – I was fortunate enough to be part of SIX couples’ wedding days, and I also created my first set of baby announcements. I already have four couples that I’m working with for 2011 weddings and I have another set of baby announcements in progress.
.
I was lucky enough to be able to shoot my first set of engagement photos this week with my newly engaged sister, Alysse, and her fiancé, Dan, which gave me the confidence to do what I’ve wanted to for a while – I’ll soon be adding photography to my list of services.
.
In 2009, I came in at 5th place on the Hot List in the Wedding Invitation category – this year I came in 3rd, thanks to my clients, friends, and family.
.
This year I hope to surpass what I did in 2010, while still keeping the quality and close relationships I had with all of my customers. I never want to lose sight of excellent customer service in the pursuit of biting off more than I can chew. My father left his family business in 2003 and started his own business in 2004. He started with 60 customers, and today with the help of my brother and husband (and me on the back-end), he has about 200 customers. He’s grown slow and steady, and all of his customers genuinely like and appreciate him. He is my inspiration.
.
If you’re reading this and we worked together in 2009 or 2010, THANK YOU – I would be nowhere without you!
