This invitation set was created for Alyson & Collin, and was based on their wedding colors and bride’s desire for a “fun yet formal” design. I used a pearlescent highlighter sheet with a fun design, and based the invitation’s decoration on that. Teal rhinestones that matched the paper (and dress) color perfectly were used, and they truly helped transform the design from beautiful to stunning. The only issue was during our test mailings a few fell off, so I ended up finding a packing sheet to use in place of the normal vellum protector, and it actually looked really pretty. It was a translucent white and the pattern on it complimented the design.
The full package included the invitation, the RSVP card and envelope, and three insert cards: one with the hotel accommodations, and two directions cards with maps drawn on the back.
Alyson went to the same school I did and was friends with my sister, and her younger brothers were friends with my brother, so it was wonderful designing this set for her and being able to help her with her wedding. I wish her and Collin all the best, I think their wedding day is going to be absolutely gorgeous!
