This set of announcements was created to invite guests to Julia’s First Communion. When designing all my pieces, I try to incorporate some of the individual or couple’s personality into the design. When asked what she liked, Julia said, “reading, guitars, soccer and red.” Hmm, okay…I definitely had my work cut out for me. I wanted something very elegant to celebrate this formal event, but I also wanted to come up with something that she would think fit her personality. I ended up using a soccer ball patterned paper that adds a gorgeous pattern to the piece while not screaming “soccer balls” – you sort of have to look directly at the paper to see them. And of course I added some red rhinestones to accent the design.
